The Great Return—Scatter at Sea
Led by our co-founder and licensed Boat Captain, Ikaroa Falls offers a majestic final farewell through our dedicated Scatter at Sea program.
“At Ikaroa Falls, we believe every life deserves a dignified conclusion. Unlike traditional aftercare, where communal remains are often treated as refuse, we believe in a more honorable path. We look to the water one last time, escorting your pet’s remains beyond the surf to be ceremonially cast into the ocean’s healing embrace.”
❋ Communal Sea BurialIncluded as our standard of care for all communal aquamations. We believe that even if you choose not to have remains returned, your pet deserves a sacred transition. These scatterings are performed regularly by our Captain in a collective, respectful ceremony.
Cost: Included with Communal Service
❋ The Private Charter CeremonyAn exclusive, scheduled voyage for you, your family, and friends. You will join our Captain on board to personally witness the ceremony. This intimate service includes a Commemorative Certificate and the exact Geo-Track Coordinates of where your pet was laid to rest, allowing you to return to that sacred spot in the years to come.
Cost: Additional Service Fee—see Prices
❋ Individual Sea BurialFor those who choose Individual or TruePrivate Aquamation, but prefer the ocean as a final resting place rather than an urn. Our Captain will perform a dedicated scattering of your pet’s specific remains during our scheduled voyages.
Cost: Additional Service Fee—see Prices
❋ The Ceremonial DetailsThe Captain’s Hand: Every scattering is overseen by our owner, an experienced Boat Captain, who ensures that maritime tradition and funeral reverence are combined.
The Coordinates: For private ceremonies, we provide precise latitude and longitude, creating a permanent, accessible memorial on the world map.
Eco-Friendly: Because aquamated remains are pure and clean, this process is 100% environmentally safe for our San Diego coastal waters.
